Booking & Reservation
Yes! We have special half and full day rates. Four hour minimum booking. Please call or email in advance to book.
Yes, you can! Please email with as much information as possible about your event: including a description of the event, tentative date, time, approximate amount of people, whether there will be food and/or refreshments, alcohol, etc. to [email protected] and we will reply to you promptly.
Yes! There have been numerous videos recorded at the studio. Video bookings are treated just like normal photoshoot bookings. We currently do not offer video lighting equipment.
With our easy 24/7 online booking system, you can simply check for availability and book your studio space online. The main studio and the boudoir studio both have an up-to-date calendar of availability. Be sure to include your first and last name, your email, and your phone number. Once you make your reservation, a confirmation email will be sent to you.
Unlike other studios offering only half-day and full-day rates, at Cobalt Studios we understand that not every project calls for that much time, so we offer bookings as short as two hours.
Absolutely! We do not hold regular office hours, so if you want to set up a tour, please reach out via email or over the phone to set up a time to come in and take a tour.
Your reservation time includes set up, your shoot session, and break down. Please factor all of this into your reservation time. The studio simply might be occupied right before your reservation, or it may be reserved right after you or might be closed.
All reservations are non-refundable. Reservations can be rescheduled once up to 48 hours in advance. Any cancellation or rescheduling outside of these terms is subject to our team’s discretion.
As photographers, we understand that sessions can run longer than expected. If there are no rentals following your scheduled appointment, additional time can be added so long as the team member is available to accommodate the request.
Rental time begins promptly at the prescribed starting time and ends promptly at the prescribed ending time, regardless if renter and/or renter’s party is late. Rental time includes load-in, setup, tear down and cleaning. The studio must be cleaned and vacated by the scheduled end time and no later, please consider this when booking your rental.
$40 minimum cleaning fee required for excessively dirty studio and large groups or production crews exceeding 10 people. Additional charges my apply.
Your reservation includes exclusive use of the studio space, with no one else sharing any parts of it. While we always have staff on site in our dedicated office, you will generally be left alone and uninterrupted during your session in the studio. We are available for assistance when needed.
Yes, boudoir session are allowed without any interference from other renters. However, the studio reserves the right to have a team member on site at all times. Everyone in the room must be 18 years of age or older.

Yes! We love bringing animals in the studio. Please be mindful to clean up after any messes and that the animal is under your control the entire time. Any products or studio property that is damaged by an animal brought into the studio must be replaced by the owner.
Yes! We often offer discounts for registered non-profit entities as well as photography education related use. Additionally, we are occasionally interested periodically sponsoring productions as well. Please include this information in your inquiry to inform us and we may be able to help!

Our Studio
There is three main parking spots in front of our studio for your use. One is in front of the garage door for unloading connivance. Street parking is also available.
Yes! Someone will always be in the studio during your booking.
Yes! Our natural light space is attached to the Main Floor. With the door up and the vinyl covers down, our Natural Light Area offers a wide variety of opportunities. Choose from our paper backdrops or our double-sided mobile background and shoot with the wonderful western light at your back.
Yes! Please contact us in advance before scheduling. There is a $40 supplemental cleaning fee if vehicles are used in a photoshoot.
No smoking is allowed in the studio. Projects involving smoke must have prior consent of the studio owner.
No one will be admitted who is under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances. Projects involving alcohol must have prior consent of the studio owner.
All small and/or hard to clean material (confetti, hair cutting, feathers, food products, body paint, glitter, etc.) require approval from the studio owner. $40 minimum cleaning fee may apply depending on studio condition at wrap.
The studio is next to an auto-body shop and train tracks. The weekends are best for long audio recordings because the shops around us are closed. Sound normally isn’t an issue for videos recorded in short snippets. If sound is a concern, please schedule a tour so we can give you a better feel of the space.
Yes! The private changing area is for main studio guests only. Only two models in the changing room at a time. Boudoir studio guests should change upstairs in our private changing area or check beforehand before using the main studio changing room.
We only provide the studio space and lighting. You are responsible for hiring a photographer however we can provide recommendations.
Yes! We have two Canon, two Nikon, and two Sony triggers that can work with our lights. Having more than one photographer is a great way to split the space!
Yes! The main studio offers three make up stations at no additional cost.


Our Equipment
We have multiple props, lighting equipment, and features at our studio! All we need is for you to bring your own camera. If you are unsure if we have something you need, give us a call or send us an email. We are more than happy to make sure we have all the equipment you need to make your session a success!

Yes! If you are wanting to use the bathtub without water, there is no fee. If you would like to use the bathtub for a milk-bath or something similar there is a $75 cleaning fee.
Yes! The water is warm, just like taking a bath. We normally only do one bath session for a day. So if a client needs more than one session, they should contact the studio in advance.
Yes! We use Savage Seamless 107 in x 36 ft paper. There will always be #20 Black, #66 Pure White, and #74 Smoke Gray available. We have rotating colors available so check beforehand to see what’s new!
Yes, we have a steamer available to you at no extra cost!
Yes! There is always a clothing rack available in the dressing room.
Yes, we do have a fog machine! Please request it when you make a reservation.
Yes! Just ask one of our team members and they will make sure you get connected properly.
It’s a large curved white wall designed to create an infinity effect.
Yes! Book the main studio to use the product table. Our product area has a massive FOBA Dibre table offering a 6 ft wide, 36 inch deep, 36 inch high translucent presentation area. Able to be lit from the bottom, this double infinity is a one of a kind table in the Northwest.
